Extra-Curricular Activities

Learning outside the classroom: trips, sports and extra-curricular activities

Engaging in extracurricular activities is vital for holistic student development as it nurtures skills beyond the academic realm. These activities enhance social, emotional, and physical well-being, fostering teamwork, leadership, and time management. Moreover, they provide avenues for self-discovery, passion exploration, and a well-rounded education that extends beyond the confines of the classroom.

Annual Visits during the school year

Iceland

At TEMS we offer residential trips abroad that help to put geography lessons into practice in unusual places.

During our trip to Iceland the students experienced aurora borealis, glaciers and geysers that will allow them to remember the workings of nature beyond theory.

Residential Trips around abroad

Each age group enjoys a cultural trip at the end of the school year that allows them to visit different places.

These experiences abroad allow our students to practise languages and gain an appreciation of different cultures.

Residential trips around Spain

For us it is important that from an early age they have the opportunity to get to know the diverse Spanish geography and to be able to take part in cultural and sporting activities with their classmates.

Tenerife, Gredos, Cuenca and Ávila were some of the destinations last year.

Ski Trip

Top junior and senior pupils can go on a week long ski trip during mid-term of the second term. They are accompanied by teachers from the school. Pupils are accompanied on the slopes at all times by ski monitors, not only during the ski lessons. After ski activities are organised every day to make the pupils stay as enjoyable as possible.

One day visits

In order to complement our students’ knowledge of different subjects, day visits are organised to places where they can learn and better understand different aspects of the curriculum. Pupils are taken on visits to museums, factories, local towns, the zoo, castles, monuments, the theatre, the planetarium and other areas of interest.
